Yoga biography
Sabrina began practicing yoga at 16 years old with her grandmother in a church hall. At the same time, she was training as a dancer on a scholarship at Bird College. From this moment, yoga became a constant in her life.
Throughout various periods in Sabrina’s life, she experienced anxiety and cycles of burnout. Yoga and therapy became essential tools to help ease her anxiety and restore her energy. In 2018, she traveled to India and completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with The Yoga People in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket. Later, she further trained in Mandala Vinyasa, Rocket, and Patterns with The Yoga People and Rocket Science with The Goodlife Yoga School.
During the pandemic, Sabrina favoured practicing Yin yoga over Yang yoga, desiring a journey of introspection to regulate her nervous system. Her practice transitioned from external to internal. She trained in Yin Foundations and Yin and The Elements with Jamie Clarke from TYP, then continued her studies with Paul and Suzee Grilley in 2023. Sabrina continues to study yoga and philosophy with Alexandria Crow.
Sabrina now has a meditation practice and teaches Yin Yoga guided by functional anatomy at triyoga. She has created workshops for yoga teachers and students, including: Ashtanga Immersive 2020 online, Ashtanga and Anatomy 2023, and Yin to the Sound of Winter 2023.
